Three-piece suit on a bicycle? Two wheels instead of four to get to work? Don’t knock it until you try it, say participants in the Visalia’s alternative transportation project Vi-Cycle. The project, now three-and-a half-years old, takes abandoned bicycles, makes them as good as new and sells them to businesses for $25. Employees then buy the bikes at cost from their employer.
