STATUS: Senate Elections and Constitutional Amendments
The California Constitution states that a special tax by city, county, or special district may only pass with 2/3 of voter approval in that city, county, or special district. If passed, this measure would authorize a special tax by local government to provide funding for community and economic development projects, as specified, to pass, be increased, or extended by 55 percent of the voters voting on the proposition.
