STATUS: Senate Governance and Finance Committee
The California Constitution states that a special tax by city, county, or special district may only pass with 2/3 of voter approval in that city, county, or special district. If passed, this measure would authorize a special tax by local government to provide funding for transportation projects to pass, be increased, or extended by 55 percent of the voters voting on the proposition.
