Impose a $75 fee on the recordation of real-estate documents to fund development and preservation of affordable housing

STATUS: May 31, 2012 — failed to get 2/3 majority vote to pass out of Senate

This bill would impose a $75 fee on recordation of each real-estate document in order to permanently fund the Housing Opportunity and Market Stabilization (HOMeS) Trust Fund that would support the development, acquisition, rehabilitation, and preservation of affordable homes for low-and-moderate-income households.
